Beginnings
Rhys Yorke grew up in the rural lands of Canada. From an early age, he was captivated by the power of storytelling, spending countless hours reading, sketching, and crafting narratives that transported him to fantastical worlds and far away galaxies. His inspirations came from a wide array of sources, including literature, mythology, cartoons, comics, and video games, all of which fuelled his creative ambitions. As a child, his imagination became his second home, drawn to the works of authors and creators who built immersive worlds, and he found himself experimenting with storytelling through multiple mediums— fostering an insatiable curiosity and a desire to bring his ideas to life.
Comics, Film & Television
Some notable projects in Rhys’ career include Deadpool, ThunderCats, G.I. Joe, Battle of the Planets, and Robotech. He has also contributed to television series such as The Expanse, V-Wars, Polar, Titans, Beacon 23 and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. He had the wonderful opportunity to help bring to life Nick Jr.’s Emmy nominated children’s show Blue's Clues and You.
GAMES
Rhys has had the opportunity to work on several notable game projects, including Funcom’s The Secret World, and Drinkbox Studio’s Tales from Space: About a Blob and Ubisoft’s Farcry series. Currently, he is working on Eon Rush Studio’s upcoming game Eon Rush.
Future Projects
Rhys is ceaselessly expanding his artistic horizons, delving into narrative design, filmmaking, and tabletop role-playing games. These projects exemplify his commitment to exploring new avenues for storytelling, ensuring that his work not only expands the scope of his narrative abilities but also engages with audiences in interactive and immersive experiences, showcasing a comprehensive approach to storytelling.
